ait doctor

Discover focused diagnostic surfaces without changing repository authority.

Audience: Users and operators

Role#

Used by the user or operator when normal status evidence identifies a storage, runtime, Plan-authority, or remote dependency problem.

Purpose#

ait doctor is a namespace of focused diagnostics. The available diagnostic topics are versioned, so begin with the installed command's help instead of copying an unrelated maintenance command.

Syntax#

Code · bash
ait doctor --help

Worktree-specific diagnosis is available under ait worktree doctor; it is separate from the top-level doctor topics.

Example#

Code · bash
ait status --json
ait doctor --help
ait worktree doctor --refresh --json

Select only the diagnostic that matches the status finding. Diagnostics should not become a speculative repair sequence.

Output#

Doctor output reports the inspected boundary, evidence, and any bounded next action. Preserve it when escalation is required.

Failure and recovery#

Do not run a destructive cleanup merely because a doctor reports stale or partial state. Resolve the exact owner, identifier, and path first, then use the recovery command supplied for that condition.
